The Department of Mechanical Engineering is one of the pioneering departments of Vidyavardhaka Polytechnic which established in 2005 with an initial intake of 60 students to diploma program. At present it is also one of the biggest departments of the institute with student intake of about 120.
Mechanical Engineering is the core of all advancements in Engineering & Technology. The department is well developed with infrastructures & laboratories as per the AICTE norms.
The department is enriched with highly qualified faculty members and technical staff also regular industrial visits & trainings are organized for students.
Personal attention is given to each student through tutor-guardian relationship. The department has evolved over time to keep up with the ever increasing challenges in technology development to provide a superior learning experience with a vision of the future educational needs of society.
Students of Mechanical Engineering always remain at the forefront of all activities in the institute.
The department will enable the students of mechanical engineering to be technically competent with multi-disciplinary approach to meet the industry needs.

Laboratories: The Department is well equipped with all machines, engines, computer lab and independent CAD center. The students are given knowledge and hands on experience on various machines and equipments necessary for conducting practical’s as per DTE syllabus.
